Neil Rockstad finished his wheat harvest just before Labor Day. “It seems like it was kind of a drawn-out grind,” said the Ada, Minnesota farmer. “A nice crop of wheat with average quality, but good yields and test weight. Just the protein was rated average. I’m kind of happy to have that one off and in the bin.” Rockstad said the soybean crop is finishing well. “The rains that we had in late July kind of brought that soybean crop around. We were pretty skeptical; they stayed kind of short and didn’t look that great, to be honest, all through June and into July, but now they look promising too.”
