Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin spent part of his Labor Day weekend in the Midwest with stops at South Dakota State University, the Minnesota State Fair and Christensen Farms at Sleepy Eye. While at the Christensen Farms headquarters, Zeldin announced no action will be taken on the Biden Administration’s proposal to impose additional wastewater regulations on meat and poultry processing facilities. Meat Institute President and CEO Julie Anna Potts said the more stringent permitting guidelines under the Clean Water Act were a regulatory disaster.
