Mike Hagens of Quantum Ag North, Steele, North Dakota, hosted the second stop on the first day of the RRFN Crop Tour presented by Pioneer. Hagens joked the corn in the area may not be the record 188 bushel per acre average forecast by USDA, but “it will be a pretty good year.” Hagens anticipates a lot of corn in the 150-to-180 bushel range and soybeans in the 60 bushel per acre territory. Pioneer P92388PCE was highlighted during the tour stop. Hagens said the soybeans look phenomenal, pointing to a variety filled with four-bean pods. Time will be needed to bring the crop to full maturity. Watch the interview.
