There’s an unusual sight across western North Dakota for late August-green grass. “It’s wonderful when it rains in western North Dakota,” said Larry Lunder, field agronomist, Pioneer. “You’re right, it’s odd to see this much green grass, no fire danger and it’s been wonderful for late-season row crops.” Lunder recapped the first day of the week-long crop tour in this interview. Lunder expects growers to harvest a crop that is better than average in western and central North Dakota.
