For the fifth year in a row, Hoverson Farms kicked off Northland Potato Growers Association’s annual field day with a breakfast and presentations from NDSU Extension researchers. “We have a plot here on this farm and they bring in all different kinds of varieties to see which one does best,” explained Carl Hoverson. Tour participants found a nice spud crop. “Everything’s sizing up good,” said Hoverson. “We’re probably going to start harvesting around the 10th of September, depending on the temperature, but right now, everything’s hopefully on track to have a good crop.”
