Effective September 1, Canada will drop most retaliatory tariffs on U.S. products. Tariffs on U.S. products, including ag commodities, will be lifted if they were exempt under the USMCA. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Donald Trump spoke by phone on Thursday and this action is seen as a way to jump-start trade talks.
