Agriculture received historic funding in the budget reconciliation bill, but North Dakota Representative Julie Fedorchak says more work remains to deliver a full farm bill. “The One Big Beautiful Bill included more investments in agriculture than what we’ve seen since 2002, significant investments in agriculture; export assistance, crop insurance, the safety net programs, research; lots of great things.” The House Agriculture Committee plans to bring the full farm bill up for debate in the fall. “They’re looking at October for taking that back up and getting a full farm bill pushed through. Hopefully, there’ll be enough Democrats in the Senate to go along with it.”
