At the Pioneer Canola Field Tour that traveled through Langdon, Cando, and Douglas, North Dakota, the company highlighted its new 100 series spring canola hybrids. Pioneer Global Product Director Adam Anderson said the varieties benefit from research and germplasm exchange with programs in Europe, Australia, South Africa, and Latin America. “We’re excited about the advancements of how we can bring new cropping solutions to farmers, and also serve the increasing demand for biofuels or sustainable aviation fuel in the future,” Anderson said. While yield remains the top priority, Anderson noted the addition of traits like premium pod shatter resistance, strong disease packages, and agronomic benefits to maximize genetic potential.
