Peterson Farms Seed is celebrating 30 years of growth and innovation in the seed industry. “You think about 30 years as a milestone, but really, I think that’s more of a jumping off point for the next 30 years, because you know, we’re not spending a lot of time looking back,” said owner Carl Peterson. “We’re looking forward.” While the company has adapted alongside the changes in agriculture, Peterson says some values remain steadfast. “For a company like us, focus on the farmer and try to help our customers raise their yields. If there’s a different crop that’s coming in, see if we can make that work. If there’s a different technology, we focus on helping our customers increase their yields, whatever the case may be, and I don’t think that’s ever going to change.”
