Winter wheat harvest in central South Dakota is picking up. Bradberry Ventures owner Kevin Bradberry says the weather has slowed progress, but harvest is inching forward. “We have rain, high humidity, and it’s cloudy every day, but the quality we’re seeing is still pretty good,” said Bradberry. “We’ve seen some really high protein and 60 bushels of wheat, so it’s pretty good once we’re able to harvest.” After winter wheat harvest is finished, Bradberry says they’ll stay in the area for spring wheat before moving further north. Bradberry is a custom cutter based in Onida, South Dakota.
