Wet weather is slowing down winter wheat harvest near Pierre, South Dakota. Despite the setbacks, Wolf Harvesting Owner Craig Wolf says they’re seeing some nice wheat coming off the harvester. “It’s looking good, it’s pretty nice wheat. Probably, 60 or 70 bushels per acre. We didn’t hear any numbers on the protein, though. But it’s slow. Rain every day, we can’t get started until four or five in the afternoon.” Wolf says they have about a week’s worth left to harvest in South Dakota, then the next stop is near Minot in early August for spring wheat.
