New Jersey Senator Cory Booker has introduced a bill that would give people the federal right to sue crop protection companies. This proposal is in response to legislation passed in North Dakota and Georgia that protects companies from excessive litigation if they follow EPA guidelines. At least eight other states have considered similar legislation to protect farmers’ access to these crop protection tools.
