Hoeven Highlights Ag Wins in Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill

After President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill narrowly passed through the Senate, North Dakota Senator John Hoeven hosted a roundtable event in Fargo. “First off, it is about tax relief.  Over the next ten years, we save or make sure that our taxpayers save $4 trillion.” Reference prices for ARC and PLC increase. “We were stuck on the farm bill, and we weren’t going to do a farm bill unless we got an update on ARC and PLC, reference prices, and whether we got enhanced crop insurance. That was fundamental because for us, that’s the heart and soul of the farm bill, and it’s in there (BBB).” Policies also receiving praise from North Dakota ag groups include improvements to the Livestock Indemnity Program, the Livestock Forage Program, and an extension of the sugar program through 2031.
