Supreme Court Denies Prop 12 Petition

The Supreme Court will not hear a case seeking to put an end to California’s Proposition 12. The Iowa Pork Producers Association was joined by 23 states challenging the constitutionality of the law that mandates specific housing standards if the pork is going to be sold in California. However, five of the nine justices said Prop 12 could ‘impose a substantial burden on interstate commerce.’
