The series of thunderstorms that produced multiple tornadoes on June 20th and 21st covered more than 400 miles from Montana to Minnesota. At Page, North Dakota, David Thompson describes the storm as ‘game changer.’ The farms are more impacted than I’ve ever seen,” said Thompson. “Usually, you deal with a tornado that’s hit one farm, maybe two farms. You can drive around here; there must be over 60 irrigators that are overturned. You’re talking bin damage,e that’s multimillion bushels of loss for fall storage, bin sites that are just completely wiped out.” Debris is scattered throughout farm fields, which will be felt throughout this growing season. Storm-related photos from the event can be found on RRFN’s Facebook page. The interview is available online.
