According to Minnesota Soybean Growers Association President Darin Johnson, trade relationships are vital to the success of U.S. Agriculture. “Fifty percent of the soybeans grown in the United States are exported, so it is imperative that we keep trade moving ahead; we can’t afford to take any more hits.” With all of the focus on tariffs, the farm bill has gone to the back burner. “There’s just so much going on, so many distractions, and the farm bill seems to have been forgot about. We’re trying to keep them focused on that too, but it has been rather difficult.”
