Winter wheat acres are also down 4 percent to 120,000 acres, while durum wheat acres are expected to rise 8 percent to 1.19 million. Corn acreage is projected at a record-high 4.2 million acres, up 6 percent from last year. Sunflower acres are set to jump 64 percent to 500,000 acres.
