Rhoden Signs Pipeline Bill

In a win for private property rights, South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden has signed legislation banning the use of eminent domain for carbon pipelines in the state. Rhoden said this doesn’t mean a carbon pipeline won’t be built in South Dakota, but Summit Carbon Solutions will need to win back the trust of landowners. Iowa, North Dakota and Minnesota previously approved the Summit Carbon pipeline.
