Despite worries about a possible government shutdown and a delayed spending bill, North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer remained optimistic and appreciated the support for agriculture from the president-elect. “Trump has made it clear he wants to back a bill that includes $10 billion for farmer aid and $21 billion for disaster relief.” After the vote to fund the government for three months, authorize a one-year farm bill extension and secure farm and disaster relief, Cramer was upset with the way it was done. “Our constituents deserve a lot better than this incompetence and dysfunction that we’ve seen the last few days and hours.”
