Funeral services for former South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson will be held Friday, October 18th in Sioux Falls. Johnson spent five terms in Congress and three terms in the Senate. While in the House during the 1980s farm crisis, Johnson introduced the legislation that reorganized the Farm Credit System. During his career, Johnson also put his stamp on numerous farm bills and was a driving force behind the Renewable Fuel Standard in 2005. Johnson was 77.
