The American Crystal Sugar Company harvest campaign officially started early Thursday morning. “We’re going to be monitoring those root temperatures very closely,” says Harrison Weber, executive director, Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers Association. “It might be getting shut down for some heat, but that’s just going to have to be the way it is this year.”
