The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is hosting online forums to get public input on agricultural issues and ideas. With the next legislative session setting the biannual budget for the state, Deputy Commissioner Andrea Vaubel says this is a great time to be heard. “We find that a lot of times folks in the public and working particularly in agriculture have ideas that we haven’t even thought about, or they want to tweak an existing program, so this is a great way to share your ideas.” One of the online forums will be today at noon. The other one is late Tuesday afternoon. “It’s nice as we develop our budget to be able to say when we talk to legislators that this is something that came in from the public.” More information can be found at https://www.mda.state.mn.us/2025-legislative-ideas.
