SovEcon is predicting Russia will produce 130.5 million metric tons of grain this year. That’s up more than 3 million tons from the last forecast. From that total, more than 84 million tons of wheat is expected to be harvested. That’s up 3.5 million tons from the previous estimate. An improvement in weather conditions in Siberia and strong winter wheat yields in southern Russia are getting the credit.
