In the Pioneer Agronomy Update, Pioneer Strategic Account Manager Brent Sorenson says Iron Deficiency Chlorosis is an issue again this year. IDC causes soybean plants to appear yellow or chlorotic and result in stunted plant growth and reduced yields. “The best way to combat IDC in soybeans is selecting varieties with strong IDC ratings.” Supplemental iron chelate fertilizer and increased plant populations are also options.
