NDSU Extension Agronomist Claire Keene is excited about this year’s wheat crop. “Folks out west and pockets of south-central North Dakota are really having a great year. Folks were able to plant in April which is ideal for our small grains and the cool wet spring was good for people who were able to get in early. I’m expecting some very high yields from the west which is great, certainly after some tough drought years that they’ve had in the past few years.”
