North Dakota Farmers Union President Mark Watne is hearing concerns from members about what is happening in the insurance sector. “Premiums are probably going up and it’s industry wide,” said Watne. “That comes with the fact that we’re having very severe storms that tend to impact the price of insurance products that we buy.” Watne participated in a Q & A session where he addressed membership concerns. Topics addressed included the state’s corporate farming law in the state, the expansion of animal agriculture and the soy crush. Hear the full recap with Mark Watne here.
