North Dakota Congressman Kelly Armstrong is cautiously optimistic about getting the farm bill passed this session. “We’re going to have to build a coalition (and) the people on the ag committee in the House are the right people to do that,” said Armstrong. “The political consequences to not passing a farm bill would primarily be felt by Republicans; I hope we’re smart enough to recognize that.”
