The farm bill is the primary focus for the American Soybean Association. ASA Vice President Josh Gackle sees the value in educating lawmakers about this important legislation. “There are well over 200 new members of Congress between the House and the Senate that have very little exposure to a farm bill. Sharing what’s worked in the past and what we need to update will be a focus.” Gackle, who farms at Kulm, North Dakota, says ASA hopes to update reference prices and base acres.
