Total Farm Marketing Market Advisor John Heinberg says Class III milk is making a good run. “There’s good demand and a lot of really good value out there for dairy producers.” The unusually large spread between block and barrel cheese is seen as a good indicator of milk demand. “Producers should be watching on the defensive side as we try to tighten the spreads back up. The milk market is getting a little heated here and this is a good window to help producers protect value.”
