Haugen Ranch of Alexander has been chosen as the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Rancher of the Year. The 75-year members Les and Shelly, along with their son Lane and daughter-in-law Kristan, run the cow-calf operation in McKenzie County. Killdeer cattleman Gene Harris was awarded Top Hand honors. This is the organization’s most prestigious award, recognizing people who’ve demonstrated outstanding industry leadership.
