Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Commissioner Laura Bishop has tendered her resignation. The decision was made after state senate refused to confirm Bishop’s appointment. The Senate retaliation against Governor Tim Walz’s appointee is linked to MPCA’s role in adopting the California Clean Cars initiative. Bishop was appointed in January of 2019.
