An executive order issued by Mexico’s president to stop all imports of biotech corn and ban the use of glyphosate can move forward. A Mexican federal judge rejected a request from the National Farm Council to prevent these policies from being implemented. This Mexican farm group is disappointed, saying food prices will increase and farmers will become less productive. The new policies take effect in 2024.
