May is Beef Month in North Dakota. This is the first year that the promotion has been officially recognized in the state. “The governor has declared this month as Beef Month, so we’re excited about that recognition for the industry and what it brings to the economics of North Dakota,” says Nicole Wardner, consumer marketing and industry relations specialist, North Dakota Beef Commission.”We’re doing grilling campaigns, and so much more, which allows us to connect with consumers and bring them a taste of beef.” In partnership with the North Dakota Cattle Women, there is also a virtual beef 5k run and walk being held. “We had over 150 people register, which is amazing. That’s a lot of people refueling with beef after a run or walk.” Stay up to date on the May Beef Month happenings in the state by following the North Dakota Beef Commission on Facebook and find beef recipes on their website.
