USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is asking for an environmental impact statement on a new Bayer corn that is being developed with resistance to glyphosate, 2,4-D, glufosinate, quizalofop and dicamba. Due to potential issues with dicamba spray drift and volatilization, APHIS is seeking an EIS rather than a less stringent environmental assessment. Public comments are now being accepted.
