Northern Crops Marketing and Investments market analyst Brad Paulson says many factors contributed to the higher close for the grain markets on Wednesday. “The weather market is abound. There are issues with freezing in Europe. There are weather issues in Brazil with the second corn crop with little moisture in the forecast. There were new highs in corn, Minneapolis wheat and the current months of canola. There was also some technical buying.” Paulson says dryness in the Northern Plains is expected to linger in the next week to 10 days. “The trend is your friend and the weather is not. This market may move higher until we get a crop in the ground and looks good, which may be next month.” Hear the closing market report.
