According to CoBank’s quarterly report on the ag sector, the economic outlook has improved, but significant risks still remain. Since August, corn and soybean prices have risen more than 60 percent and wheat prices are up 30 percent. Farm retailers have profited from the price rally and favorable weather for the fall application season. The report says U.S. beef demand has held up despite the challenges in the foodservice world. Rising feed costs are a concern for livestock, poultry and dairy farms.
