With continued cool and wet weather across the Northern Plains, there is growing concern with the corn and soybean crops. In the Cooperstown, North Dakota area, Ag Advantage Consulting owner Jonathan Erickson says while the row crops have potential, they are indeed behind. “The top cluster is there on the soybeans, but the longer maturing varieties need more time,” says Erickson. “There are fields where the white mold is really ravaging the stand, which could bring out lower bushels.” Listen to the story.
