A blue ribbon task force has been formed to consider a change in the Pork Checkoff business model. National Pork Board CEO Bill Even says this process begins with a blank piece of paper. “The goal is to build a very agile organization that is going to be very responsive to issues that producers are concerned about.” Even expects to see a light structure with producer-leaders who have a pulse on the industry. “Rather than waiting six months until you have another meeting, the board of directors can act in real-time.”
