Indecision still rules the day as farmers labor over acreage decisions for the year ahead. Dekalb Asgrow brand lead Pete Uitenbroek expects those orders to be finalized soon. “We’re seeing a lot of momentum starting to pick up for the 2019 planting season, I know especially in your part of the world there is some uncertainty on how acres are going to shake out. Those decisions will have to sort out to some degree in the coming weeks.” Uitenbroek is anticipating a shift to more corn acres in the Northern Plains, but calls soybeans “a wild card.”
