SunOpta has sold its specialty and organic soybean and corn business to Minneapolis-based Pipeline Foods. This deal is worth $66.5 million. This transaction includes five SunOpta facilities in Minnesota; Moorhead, Hope, Blooming Prairie and Ellendale and one in Cresco, Iowa. As part of the agreement, SunOpta and Pipeline Foods have entered into a multi-year supply agreement for certain ingredients used in SunOpta’s consumer products business. SunOpta will continue to operate its other North American operations, including its sunflower business.
