With the economic challenges in agriculture, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is seeking ways to reduce costs and build demand. “We have one of the highest basis levels in the nation so I’m always looking for solutions for transportation costs,” said Noem. “We also look at value-added projects; if we can put in more ethanol plants, soybean processing plants and add value to livestock production, it is incredibly important.”
