The North Dakota Gelbvieh Association will hold their annual meeting and “Golden Rule Sale” Saturday and Sunday in Mandan. Association Vice President and Clearbrook, Minnesota farmer David Larson says a total of 47 total lots from 14 cosigners will be featured. “Producers really offer some of their best cattle. With advancements in genetics, I think the quality improves every year,” says Larson. “This year there are 20 bred females, 13 open females and 14 yearling bulls.” New this year, the Golden Rule Sale will be held Sunday evening via video auction. Cattle will be available for viewing at Kist Livestock beforehand. Larson says both commercial cattlemen and Gelbvieh enthusiasts are invited to attend.
