Minnesota’s Environmental Quality Board is reviewing a report prepared by the Governor’s Committee on Pollinator Protection. The 15-member group agreed on the need for pollinator habitat enhancements. Minnesota Corn Growers Association President Brian Thalmann says the use of commercial pesticides was an area of disagreement. “Those of us in the ag community firmly believe we can continue down the path of being responsible stewards of the technology, enhancing the use of best management practices and having these options available when needed.” Thalmann says further regulation is not the answer.
