The Environmental Protection Agency may put the small refinery waiver program within the Renewable Fuel Standard on hold. Reuters is reporting the agency is reevaluating how the exemptions are issued. These waivers have been a hot-button issue for corn and ethanol groups. In a statement, Growth Energy said it hopes the review will shed more light on a “secretive process that has done great amounts of damage to biofuel demand.”
