Grand Forks, North Dakota-based custom harvester Kent Braathen is harvesting sunflowers, corn and soybeans west of Onida, South Dakota. The crops haven’t been impacted too badly by drought. “We’re looking at beans that are 30 to 50 bushels per acre in places depending on what kind of moisture they received. The quality is good.” Braathen will finish out harvest in South Dakota.
