U.S. Cattlemen’s Association President and Mandan, North Dakota rancher Kenny Graner is disappointed the USMCA doesn’t address Country of Origin Labeling. “We really thought we had an opportunity to get mandatory COOL written back into this new agreement, but we did not.” Graner hoped the trade deal would recognize meat is perishable and the market is cyclical. “At the end of the day, the way I see it, a patriot was left behind in this trade deal.”
