Colgate, North Dakota farmer Jason Mewes is waiting for more cooperative weather to get back into the field. Very few soybeans have been harvested in the area, and the corn is still wet. “I’ve heard pretty good soybean yields, anywhere from low 40s up to the mid 50s. Even some irrigated yields were up into the low 70s,” says Mewes. “The corn is anywhere from 22-to-36 percent moisture. That takes away some of my excitement for getting into the corn.”
