A rain break isn’t likely in the short-term. Bismarck National Weather Service Meteorologist Bill Abeling expects more precipitation across the upper Midwest in the next week. “Especially during the latter part of this weekend into early next week, we have a fairly large slow moving storm system that will be bringing snow to parts of eastern Montana and western North Dakota. The system will also bring rain across most of east central North Dakota into western Minnesota.” Abeling says the unusually cool and wet weather is expected through mid-October.
