Over the weekend, North Dakota Stockmen’s Association members set policy priorities, elected directors and officers and gained industry knowledge. The adoption of policies will also be factored into preparing for the 2019 Legislative Session. “The association is hoping to change the no-posting laws in the state, so that’ll be a legislative effort,” says newly-elected NDSA President Dan Rorvig. “We’re also excited about starting a new NDSA headquarters. So that will be a big task and will need funds to do so.” As a 30-plus year member of the association, the McVille, North Dakota rancher has seen many changes in the livestock industry over the years.
