At the 89th Annual North Dakota Stockmen’s Association, approximately 350 ranchers met in policy and resolution committee meetings. NDSA Executive Vice President Julie Ellingson says Electronic Logging Device regulations, fake meat, trade and more remain top priorities for cattle producers. “Also, the farm bill remains a top focus with the current bill expiring September 30,” says Ellingson. “Of course, we’ve been long-time advocates for an enhanced FMD bank. We also support conservation programs such as EQIP and ag research. However, one concern with the farm bill is a possible provision for perpetual easements.” Learn more from Ellingson in this Facebook Live video from convention.
